Jenn Silver + Matt Kelemen
Saturday, February 16th
5:00 - 7:00 PM
Together, we will unearth the gentle essence of CACAO, a plant teacher and medicine that will guide us into the heart space. Experience what the medicine of cacao has to offer us, and why it has been used in sacred ceremony throughout the central and south Americas for generations.
As the cacao awakens your physical and subtle bodies, we will honour it’s ancestry and call in the four directions and animals according to the tradition of the medicine wheel. We then continue in ceremony with a short meditation, looking within, exploring our inner landscapes as the meditation unfolds. Allow this to be a time for setting an intention that will carry you through the ceremony, the weekend at Lucent, and beyond! What would you like to take away from the magic available to you at this festival and amongst ancient teachers like the mountains in nature. We will close the ceremony under the tender guidance of Matt Kelemen’s infamous and illustrated Yoga Nidra guided meditations to honour the medicine, your sacred temple and the potency of your experience embodied in this moment.

Conversation on the interactions of the solar plexus and heart chakras, as well as intention setting, tender exploration of asana, pranayama, devotional drills and courageous play will culminate in a vinyasa practice in which you can flow with your heart delightfully grounded in your hands.
